Guest Post for Hunter’s and Prey by
Katie Salidas
Best Character moment
(i.e when the character really come into their own)
I hate to give away spoilers to a book, but in Hunters and
Prey, one of Alyssa’s defining moments is when her willpower is tested. What
happens when a hungry vampire is presented with food (blood)? What if that food
comes at a time when the vampire is not only hungry, but also injured and in
need of healing? What if that food comes from a friend? Not just any friend. A
dear friend. A close friend. A… human friend.
Fragile, mortal, and in dangerous risk of dying.
That’s when a character’s mettle is really tested. Alyssa is faced with this situation in
Hunter’s and Prey. Watching her struggle through what to do is definitely
defining and a time when she really starts to come into her own.
But, don’t take my word for it. Go. Read it.

Blurb/Synopsis:
Rule number one: humans and vampires don't co-exist. One is
the hunter and one is the prey. Simple, right? Not for newly-turned vampire
Alyssa. A surprise confrontation with Santino Vitale, the Acta Sanctorum's most
fearsome hunter, sends her fleeing back to the world she once knew, and Fallon,
the human friend she's missed more than anything. Now she has some explaining
to do. However, that will have to wait. With the Acta Sanctorum hot on their
heels, staying alive is more important than educating a human on the finer
points of bloodlust.
