Blurb/Synopsis:
Aaron Pilan’s life is forever changed when he’s shot trying to rescue a drop-dead gorgeous woman on the streets of New York. Aaron is thrust into the shocking world of vampiric slavery when Michelle shares her blood to save his life.

This story is bold and evocative, infusing blood, sex, love and turmoil in an urban drama about two vampires battling evil outside and within themselves.

My Review:

The Nightlife New York

4 stars

I loved this dark world. It was enticing, intriguing and fast paced. This book kept me going I wanted to know how it would end. These characters Aaron and Michelle draw you in. It was great watching them grow as well.

Can't wait to read the next one.

My Review:

The Nightlife Las Vegas

3 stars

Once again the author delivered a fast paced books. Honestly I don't know how I really feel about Ana. I get her 'need' but for myself I was hoping she would rise above it somehow. Maybe she will later, but for now I could have done without her.
I will say the ending threw me and it was a surprise

I loved the build of this books. Holy Cow..... The tension, drama, the action in this books really is a page turner. I loved how Michelle opened up about her past. I thought it interested she hadn't done it sooner but glad to see it when I did.

Stand Alone With Similarity to the Nightlife Series

Blurb/Synopsis:
Her mother named her Esperanza Salvación - Hope for Salvation. But when a girl works as an escort for Colombian cartel in the ghettos of Spanish Harlem, there wasn’t much hope, or salvation.

Her survival lies in the hands of Vampire Master Enrique. He seems to respect her, perhaps even care. As a measure of protection, he makes her his personal Bloodslave. Helplessly addicted to his bite, Enrique rules her every moment. As always, Hope must adapt to survive.
Swept into the decadent nightlife of Manhattan's elite, she falls in love with Enrique and prays someday he may grow to love her, too. But is it simply a relationship of convenience? Is she nothing more than a concubine desperate to satisfy his nightly demands for blood and sex?
And forever in the background is the fear that one day the cartel boss she abandoned will hunt her down to collect on old debts.

My Review:

Blood Slave

4 stars

First I loved Hope and her strength. She is my favorite character. Now Enrique...hmmm I am not so sure. I get him being closed off but I wanted more from him. I think if a little more emotion was shown from Enrique he would have also been my favorite. Once again the author did a great job with this book.

These series is a great read!!!!

A Scene from Nightlife Paris, the third of the Nightlife Series Novels.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Do you have any flights leaving New York after sunset that arrive in Paris before sunrise?” Aaron Pilan stared unblinking at the travel agent, assaulting her with the full bore of his gaze.

“No sir, not commercial flights. I’m not sure about the charter flights.”

Aaron glanced at the nameplate on her desk and tried a more personal approach. “Penelope, I need your help.” He drilled into her mind with his telepathic probe, digging through her thoughts and emotions. “How long is a flight to Paris?”

“Well … it’s a seven hour flight at minimum, but the time zones …” He read Penelope’s every thought with ease. His eyes seemed to swallow her very soul with the wondrous intensity of his gaze. She fell under his spell in a matter of seconds. “Um … Paris is six hours ahead of New York, so it’s really thirteen hours …”

“Help me, Penelope. Help me find a flight that leaves by 7:30 p.m. and arrives by 7:00 a.m. in Paris.”

His eyes owned her as he read her mind. She couldn’t imagine disagreeing with him. She would give him anything – her heart, her body, her soul – just to know the truth behind his eyes. He read her infatuation as she moistened between the legs, staring at him like a love-struck teenager.

“Um … one of the Gulfstream charters might be able to do that.” She thought hard, considering one company in particular that would fly anyone anywhere, under any circumstances, for the right price.

“I knew you could help me.”

He took her hand and she wet her underwear in anticipation. A blush of rosy heat crept up her face and her little pink tongue darted out to swipe her dry lips. Her desire to be kissed flooded her mind, washing over him as he sifted through her thoughts. She focused on the gleaming white teeth of his smile, and he knew she wished he’d drag her into the alcove and have her up against the wall. Too easy. He could bend her over the kiosk right there.

He read all her fantasies, a series of delightfully wicked things she hoped for. Uncomfortably hot and bothered by his brief touch, Penelope’s fingers moved unsteadily over the keyboard. She tried not to look at him, but she couldn’t help herself.

She cleared her throat. “Executive Pathways can expedite a transcontinental flight tomorrow night for $16,000. Oh wow, that’s really expensive, but they’ll leave whenever you like. Are you sure we can’t make one of these commercial flights work? I can get you first class at a discount …”

“No thanks. I’ll take the charter.” His exacting flight schedule could not be compromised.

She continued trying to dissuade him. “It’s only a couple hours difference ...”

Two hours made all the difference. Vampires don’t do daylight. “I need two tickets.”

“Two? But there’s no discount for the second ticket …”

He followed her mind as she imagined accompanying him overseas. A foreign rendezvous, endless hours of sex in a French hotel suite. She’d let him do anything he wanted, repeatedly.

Michelle arrived, slipping her arm around him intimately. Gorgeous, blonde, glamorous, she could’ve been a model fresh off the runway. Penelope’s fantasy crashed and burned, the screams of dying dreams echoing in her ears.

He smiled at her again, and winked. “We’ll take two tickets.”

Penelope swallowed her demolished pride. He felt a twinge of sympathy as Penelope realized she could never compete with a woman like Michelle. His master was so beautiful it hurt to look at her.

“That’s $34,945.00 with taxes and fees. How will you be paying for that?” Penelope’s eyes kept drifting to the fabulous blonde draped around him.

He handed over his gold card, the plastic so new and shiny it still smelled of Las Vegas. Well over six figures backed that account from his nights as a high roller in Vegas.

She swiped his card and managed to smile without faltering. It touched him that Penelope wondered why she couldn’t have a man like him in her life. And then she glanced at Michelle under his arm, and she knew those women always stole all the Aarons for themselves. Penelope would have to make do scrounging for leftovers.

He leaned towards her, stealing her breath with his proximity. “Penelope, why don’t you join us for a drink when you’re off work?”

He followed her thoughts as she asked the question, is he worth sharing?

“I promise you won’t regret it.” He smiled again.

She bit her lower lip in anticipation. Yes, he was worth sharing, and the blonde might be fun too …

Author Spotlight: G.D. Ogan- Immortal Relations, Love and War

Blurb:

The enemy vampires have been eradicated, so it appears our guardian vampires may look forward to a peaceful existence. Eviana is planning on having more children; she has had a son, now she wants a daughter. Magdalena, believing she is incapable of having children, still would like to be married. However, much as in human life,, peace and family are placed in harms' way by unforeseen events.

"Immortal Relations, Love and War" amps up the action of the first book to a fever pitch. The greedy leaders of Communist China plan to capture the oil, gold and mineral rich fields of Siberia by decapitation the Russian Federations' Government as a prelude to invasion. Minions of rich OPEC Sheiks seek to stem the flow of Russian Oil so OPEC can raise prices to destroy the economies of the West. They plan to use a "dirty bomb" to destroy the main pumping station and have the radiation make the oil fields unusable. Added to those threats, The radiation containment cap at Chernobyl is failing; the release of poisonous radiation could happen at any time and worse still, some scientists predict the damaged nuclear reactor at Fukushima, Japan could collapse and cause a potential Extinction Level Event! Who, or what, can be called upon to save civilization and mankind and what impact with the vampire covens experience? Could potentially catastrophic events turn out to offer unforeseen opportunities?
On the back of the inside title page, Create Space printed the incorrect copyright date for my second novel "Immortal Relations, Love and War" (they used the 2011 copyright date for the first novel, "Immortal Relations"). Inside the back cover the page shows 30 November 2012 which is when I sent them my final draft. In reality, my second in the series has only been out a couple of months (I call the release date January 21 of 2013 which is when I received my first copies of the finalized second novel).

Why this book stands out from others in the genre:

This series shows that not all vampires are evil, lurking in the shadows to fall upon unsuspecting, innocent, maidens in order to rip out their throats and drain them of their blood. My "guardian vampires," remembering their own humanity and the fact that they were attacked and changed by evil vampires, watch for them to stop their attack and to destroy them whenever they try to attack innocent humans. The blood they feel they need to exist is taken not from the living but they own funeral homes where, in accordance with funerary laws, blood from the deceased must be replaced with preservatives. Once the blood is drained, rather than being flushed down the sink, it is mixed with a special anti-coagulant and sent to the "Residency" where the guardians can use it. I've had several readers ask me why no other authors have thought of this method of obtaining blood before. All I can say is most authors' vampires are too busy ripping the throats out of people, they write mostly about the evil type. There are messages of hope and redemption in the story, no matter how terrible the events of their lives and how far they have been led astray. There is "explicit togetherness" between the mated vampires, so the book contains a warning that it is meant for mature adults. It contains strategic and tactical information of a military nature; however, it is well explained so even someone with no background will understand the action.

Backstory:

The first few pages of the second book contains enough "backstory" information from the first book so that the reader isn't lost; however, it is suggested that greater appreciation for the characters and story will result if the reader does read the first book. If the first book is full of action, the action in this book explodes off the pages. If you have a friend who thinks a romance story can't be exciting, let him (or her) read this one! If they don't get caught up in the action, check them for a toe-tag, because they have died somewhere along the line. LOL

Author Spotlight: G.D. Ogan- Immortal Relations

Backstory:

This first book in the series fully sets up the story, but doesn't waste time getting into the action either and the action is non-stop

Comment provided by reader, Richard Rasmussen:

"Being a bit of a vampire-phile, I find myself constantly searching for the next vampire series to reach out and grab, or, more appropriately, bite me. I believe I have found my holy grail of vampire novels. you see, the Vlad books are typically a bit gory for my tastes, while the Twilight series is campy, sophomoric, and I feel, is most appealing to teenage girls. Mr. Ogan has delivered a tale at breakneck speed, one that jumps out of the starting gate and never loses steam. A tale filled with life lessons, love, sex, action and adventure. Complete with new insights into the powers of the immortal vamps, and fresh takes on the complex inner workings of their existence. From page 1 until the very end, Immortal Relations promises to have you on the edge of your seat and begging for more..."

(I think you can see why I wanted to use what he said in his five star review - I think most authors would die for a review like that from someone they never met).

Why this book stands out from others in the genre:

This first novel starts with a true story that is part of my family history (something many people wouldn't reveal if it happened in their family, but I felt was important as it was what caused me to write the first book and then continue on with the series). The truth is, my late father had a tryst with a young lady in Czechoslovakia right after World War Two and my mother was very upset when she found out. I was just a child but I remember some of the things she said, but which at the time, being a child, I didn't understand. In my novels, my vampires fight against evil, not only those vampires who attack humans, but against criminals and rogue politicians who seek to enslave those they are supposed to be serving. The Residency Coven (the good guys) own a number of corporations that do charitable works and which own manufacturing, wholesale as well as retail businesses, including funeral homes. Here the deceased are treated with the utmost respect and funerary laws are strictly followed; however, instead of the blood (which must be removed when the preservative fluid is to be added) being flushed down the drain, an anti-coagulant is added and then is transported to the Residency for their use. Blood is also retrieved from medical facilities when the whole blood can no longer be used or which has some toxin or contamination (which has no effect on vampires). The first full vampire child is born in this story and once mature, which doesn't take long for a full vampire, a hybrid half-vampire-half-human child is conceived and then born (it takes about three-times longer for a hybrid birth and maturation but still much faster than for a human). The thwarting of the attempted theft of nuclear weapons and chemical-biological weapons by the evil vampires presents the authors knowledge of the military tactics and weaponry, yet is written to be understandable by those lacking military background. The prevention of ecological disasters is another unusual feather for this genre' and the "humanity," and emotions seen in the actions of the guardian vampires are rare in this genre Further, the love and caring in the "explicit togetherness" (sex acts) is also not often found in such stories. The message that the good vampires are not soulless monsters and have full access to redemption is another area virtually unseen in the genre. There are parts of the story in which the reader may find a trickle of water from their own eyes at the reaction to pain of others displayed by our good vampires. This is definitely not a Bram Stoker type novel.

About The Author:

The reason I started writing the series is found on the first pages of "Immortal Relations." My father had been assigned to help the Czechs to form a new, hopefully democratic government, immediately after World War Two of course Soviet Troops were in Czechoslovakia at the time so it didn't take long before they expelled the Americans; however, my father was there long enough to strike up a "friendship" with one of the locals assigned to help the American Delegation. Finding a photograph, which we were able to get added onto page two of the book, of my father standing in front of Prague's famous Old Town Hall's Clock and then to see the writing on the back of the photograph set the stage for the story and proved that what my mother had said many decades earlier was based in fact. That my father had had a tryst while in Prague. Here is the first book:
